Spirit beat Falcons recently in the BLAST Open Porto semi-finals
The group stage of ESL Pro League Season 24 has come to a close, with eight teams making it through to the playoffs in the Spodek Arena. The playoff bracket has now been drawn, and there are some tantalizing matchups on the horizon.
Falcons taking in Spirit is the most eye-catching game on the horizon, with the two sides having met in the semi finals of IEM Cologne Major earlier this year, when Falcons came out on top on their way to the trophy.
The two sides have already played one rematch, in the BLAST Open Porto semi-finals, and Spirit garnered some measure of revenge in that instance with a 2-0 victory.
Aurora will feel they were dealt the kindest playoff draw, earning a bout with 1win that will see Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski and his troops enter the match as favorites. Vitality too will feel they have been dealt a favorable matchup, drawing PARIVISION, whilst FURIA are left to face off against MOUZ.
One side of the bracket seems far tougher than the other, with both of the significant underdogs of the playoffs, PARIVISION and 1win, being drawn into the top half of the bracket.
