NFL players spend some of their income on luxury vehicles, jewelry and, most importantly, homes. Some have invested millions of dollars into creating a home that has everything they could ever want.
Some have created homes that have their own football fields, expansive gyms, movie rooms and luxury pools. The following 10 NFL stars have invested in properties that were more expensive than others.

Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, built a custom home in the Loch Lloyd area outside of Kansas City, Missouri, featuring all of the comforts of home. In 2020, the couple bought the eight-acre lot for $400,000, according to MansionFreak.com.
The couple then built their $8 million, 4,300-square-foot home that includes a home gym, a wine bar and even a movie room. The backyard has a little bit of something for everyone and features a 50-yard football field, a 3-par putting green and a pool.
2- Dak Prescott


In 2024, Dak Prescott made the decision to demolish his $3.3 million home that he had owned since 2019. The 9,000-square-foot home in Prosper, Texas, is now being replaced by an even bigger home, according to recent aerial footage.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s new home features a customized 55-yard football field that he can use for offseason training.
3- J.J. Watt


In 2023, J.J. Watt and his wife, former soccer player Kealia Watt, settled down in the Phoenix area. The $7 million home is nestled in the mountain region of the Arizona desert and has a backyard oasis.
The home has a modern aesthetic and features hardwood floors and black windows. The backyard also features a pool as well as a field for training, whether it’s football or soccer.
J.J. and Kealia Watt previously lived in Houston while he played for the Texans.
4- Baker Mayfield


After signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023, Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily, decided that Tampa was where they wanted to raise their family. The couple has invested in many properties in the exclusive Davis Islands area of Tampa.
In January 2025, the Mayfields purchased a $9.4 million home on the island. The 5,078-square-foot home was built in 2019 and offers scenic views of Tampa Bay. The four-bedroom, six-bathroom house also has a boat dock, golf cart parking, pool, spa, outdoor kitchen and a three-car garage.
5- Jared Goff


Jared Goff purchased his 5,725-square-foot home in Manhattan Beach, California, for $10.5 million in 2023. The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home features a Mediterranean look and is just a walk away from Manhattan Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
The home, which was previously owned by NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal, also has a 500-square-foot indoor/outdoor entertainment area that has a bar, game area and movie space.
6- Matthew Stafford


Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, bought a home in Hidden Hills, California, that was previously owned by Jennifer Lopez. The couple bought the 17,000-square-foot home in 2023 for $28 million.
The home has nine bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, as well as an expansive home theater and dance studio. The property spans three acres in a private gated community.
The couple also previously purchased the former home of rapper Drake but sold it for $21 million.
7- Tom Brady


In 2020, when he was still married to ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady bought a property in Indian Creek Island, Florida. After his divorce, he maintained the property and made it his main home. Located just off Miami, the exclusive community is one of the most expensive zip codes in the United States.
According to Sports Illustrated, Brady’s property and custom-built home cost $17 million. The seven-time Super Bowl winner’s backyard features a pool and a sitting area that gives perfect views of the waterway.
8- Aaron Donald


In 2022, Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Donald purchased a $17 million home in the San Fernando Valley. The home is an old-English style, spans 12,000 square feet and has eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
The home has a pool with an infinity edge, a game room, a spa and a movie theater. The home is also located in the same neighborhood as his coach, Sean McVay.
9- Aaron Rodgers


Aaron Rodgers spends his NFL offseason on the beach in Malibu, California. In August, the quarterback listed his beach house that he originally purchased with ex-girlfriend Danica Patrick. The home was originally priced at $28 million and is now on the market for $39.5 million.
The 4,625-square-foot home has a large owner’s suite and focuses on the ocean views with a glass railing and plenty of windows.
10- Russell Wilson


The recently retired quarterback and his wife, Ciara, bought a 30,000-square-foot home in Rancho Santa Fe, California, for $14.5 million in 2021. According to The Root.com, the massive home has nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, as well as a 10-car garage, a football field, a basketball court, a recording studio and a pool and sauna.
In late 2025, Russell Wilson and Ciara decided to sell the home for $54.9 million and as it remains on the market, the price has dropped to $45 million.
