If you’re exploring Idyll at night, perhaps looking for a rare Aniimo for your collection, you may spot a shooting star up in the sky. Sure you could stop and make a wish, but how about you actually follow that shooting star and see where it lands? Oh yes, the star is going to land, and there’s a good reason why you should follow it.
What might seem like a nice graphical detail is actually a secret in Aniimo that leads to a boss fight. Unfortunately, it’s not at all clear how to trigger this boss fight, hence why we decided to make this guide.
How To Spawn A Shooting Star
First and foremost, switch to nighttime and make sure you are in the zone where the weather is clear. Once the weather is all dark and starry, explore the world a bit. Catch some Aniimo, fight Alphas, chase Lumen Amber, whatever you want, as long as you keep an eye on the sky. If you don’t have a particular spot where you have quests and chores, we recommend you hang around in the Sea of Flowers.
Keep an eye on the night sky and, hopefully, you’ll be able to spot a shooting star. There isn’t a particular rule on how and when it will spawn, but one thing we are sure is that it definitely won’t spawn as soon as you switch to nighttime. So just be patient, keep your eyes on the sky, and let it happen naturally.
What To Do With A Shooting Star
After you spot a shooting star, you absolutely need to keep an eye on it. Use an Aniimo with the Hustle ability (or the fly ability) to get as close as you can to the star’s location. This is important, because the shooting star can de-spawn if you don’t look at it for too long. A good place to keep an eye on the shooting star is on a high hill in the Sea of Flowers.
Eventually, you’ll notice that the star slowly starting to descend, and that’s where you need to be careful the most. It will start falling down and eventually fall at a very specific spot ub Tideblossom Coast.
You need to have a view of the star as it lands. If you don’t see it land, the star will bounce and fly again up into the sky where it will make another long circle before landing again on Tideblossom Coast at the very same spot.;
After you see the star land, travel to it. We don’t recommend you use fast travel as that might de-spawn the star, and may just reset the progress, so just walk there.
How To Beat The Alpha Luminelle Fight
As you might have guessed, the shooting star is actually an Aniimo, an Alpha Luminelle. Once you reach the spot where it landed, you can initiate a fight. We recommend you bring Aniimo with the Wind elemental strength because it will make the fight easier. We fought Luminelle with four level 55 Aniimo, and we didn’t have too much trouble, even though Luminelle was 60.
The fight itself isn’t too bad. Luminelle will mostly project her attacks on the floor, so just move away from the danger zones. Twice during the fight, it will also summon several smaller Luminelle around her which will power her up. Simply go around and take out each of the little ones and you will manage to stagger the Alpha Luminelle. Obviously, once you defeat it, don’t forget to capture it too.
As an added bonus, if you ever want to fight Alpha Lumineel again, you don’t have to wait for another shooting star to appear. Simply return to the map area, and you’ll be able to fight it again.
