Manila will host the Pacific region’s first VCT Cup of 2027, with the tournament scheduled to run from April 29 to May 23. The event sits within a season spanning 15 cities and more than 50 tournaments, bringing a major stop on the VALORANT Champions Tour calendar to the Philippines.
The Manila competition is Cup 1 for Pacific, one of four regional events running across the same dates. Mexico City, Warsaw and Wuhan will host the Americas, EMEA and China editions, respectively, with teams competing for places at Masters Valencia.
Manila takes its place in a packed VCT calendar
The 2027 schedule begins with regional Kickoff events from January 14 to February 7. Pacific Kickoff is set for Bangkok, before Masters Seoul runs from February 20 to March 3. Manila’s Cup follows in late April and May, then the international circuit moves to València for Masters from June 5 to June 20.
Pacific’s second Cup is scheduled for Tokyo from August 5 to August 29. The season’s final listed stop is Austin, where VALORANT Champions and the Game Changers Championship are both scheduled for September 16 to October 10. Riot’s calendar therefore gives Pacific three named host cities across the year: Bangkok, Manila and Tokyo.
The city announcement is part of a wider change to the tour’s structure and event calendar. Riot’s 2027 schedule places regional competitions alongside international Masters events and the season-ending championships, while increasing the number of tournaments and host locations. The VCT 2027 changes set out the broader reshaping behind that calendar.
Open qualifiers start the road to Manila
Teams’ first confirmed step toward the 2027 season is scheduled for November, when open qualifiers begin. VLR’s calendar report says non-partnered teams are preparing to compete for Kickoff appearances, with qualification carrying a $100,000 stipend. That gives aspiring teams a concrete early-season target well before Cup 1 arrives in Manila.
The tournament dates and host city are confirmed, but practical details for attending remain limited. No venue, ticket prices, ticket-sale dates or schedule for matches with a live audience have been announced in the available reporting. Those details will determine how fans can experience the event in person.
The next milestone is in November
For teams, the next date on the road to the Manila Cup is the opening of 2027 qualifiers in November 2026. For fans, the calendar already locks in the April 29–May 23 tournament window; the venue and ticketing information are still outstanding.
