On October 18, 2026, Kai Cenat and Ray, also known as “Rayasianboy,” released a two-minute trailer announcing their “Kai & Ray: Returning 2 Japan” streaming event, which will begin on October 21, 2026. The stream will start at 9 am JST (5 pm PST or 8 pm EST) with the two in Japan, streaming across Twitch and YouTube.
The trailer featured an interaction between Kai Cenat and Ray at a 7-Eleven convenience store. Notably, in July 2023, the two first met outside a 7-Eleven store in Tokyo, and from then on they became recognised as a duo, with multiple on-stream collaborations.
About six months later, Rayasianboy joined the Clover Boys on January 18, 2024, alongside members like Rakai, Tylil, Dezz, Punga, and Reggie during Kai Cenat’s content initiatives. In October 2026, Ray announced his departure from the collective following Reggie’s controversial outbursts.
Notably, in the trailer, Ray donned the alias “Bankroll Ray” and used his viral catchphrase, “God Did!” before meeting Kai Cenat. Ultimately, the two got in a fight at the 7-Eleven, ending with Kai telling Ray that they’d be going to Tokyo:
“This is too much. Tomorrow morning, we hopping on the first flight back to Tokyo, Japan, where I found your ***. We need a little reset.”
Looking back at when Kai Cenat first met Ray
Kai Cenat first met Taiwanese streamer Ray, popularly known as Rayasianboy, on July 14, 2023, during an IRL livestream outside a 7-Eleven in Tokyo. Ray, who was a high school student at the time, approached Kai and told him that meeting the streamer was his “dream.”
The two hit it off, and a month later they were already collaborating on high-production videos, including the viral Rush Hour parody uploaded on Kai Cenat’s YouTube channel titled “Global Pursuit.”
Ray also accompanied Kai onstage when he accepted his Streamy Award for Best Streamer. Kai later travelled to Taiwan to support Ray at his high school graduation in 2024, fulfilling a promise that grew out of their original encounter.
In early 2026, fans criticized Ray for clickbaiting viewers with a Kai Cenat collaboration amid the Twitch star’s hiatus.
