At the top of the bag, Novak plays a 9-degree Ping G440 LST driver, configured to deliver a lower launch, reduced spin, and a more neutral ball flight off the tee. He pairs the low-spin head with an ultra-stout Project X HZRDUS Smoke Green “Hulk” 75 TX shaft. Released in 2019, this “Small Batch” version was hand-rolled in San Diego and weighs in at 74 grams with a rigid 2.8 degrees of torque to handle aggressive swing speeds.

For his 3-wood, Novak relies on a 15-degree TaylorMade Qi4D with an adjustable hosel, providing an ideal balance of distance, launch height, and forgiveness into long par 5s. It is fitted with an 81-gram Project X Titan Black 80 TX shaft featuring 2.6 degrees of torque. Built with Synex technology for torsional stability, the shaft incorporates a softer handle above an exceptionally stiff midsection and tip to maintain low-launch, low-spin characteristics.

Rounding out his fairway woods is a 19-degree Ping G440 Max 5-wood, dialed in with the hosel set to “Small minus” to lower the loft by 1 degree while keeping a neutral lie angle. Novak powers this club with a slightly counterbalanced Project X HZRDUS Smoke RDX Green 85TX shaft. Originally released in 2021, this 85-gram profile is notoriously stiff, keeping launch and spin under tight control.

Novak approaches his irons with a split set, starting with a 2025 Srixon ZXi5 4-iron designed with multi-piece forged construction to maximize ball speed and promote a higher launch in his longest iron. From 5-iron through pitching wedge, he transitions into the single-piece forged Srixon ZXi7 irons, which feature Srixon’s Tour-V sole for exceptional turf interaction, pure feel, and workable forgiveness. The entire set is equipped with 130-gram True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts, which feature a softer handle with a stiffer mid and tip section for a controlled, mid-to-low ball flight.

Novak carries three Cleveland RTZ 2 wedges cast from Z Alloy, configured in 50-10 Mid, 54-degree, and 60-degree lofts. For added touch and precision, all three wedges are shafted with slightly heavier 132-gram True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts, known for providing a smooth feel along with mid-to-low launch and spin control.

On the greens, Novak turns to a custom T.P. Mills Prototype putter, crafted by the brand originally founded by Truett P. Mills Sr. in 1963 and run today by his son, David Mills. The flatstick resembles a classic Anser 2 profile, softened with more rounded bumpers, a rolled topline, and a distinctively thick neck hosel. Forged from carbon steel with a smooth milled face, the head features an alignment sight dot placed slightly toward the heel and is finished with a SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol 1.0 grip.

Connecting hands to clubs throughout his woods, irons, and wedges, Novak trusts Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord grips, which combine the classic Tour Velvet texture with Brushed Cotton Cord (BCT) woven end-to-end to deliver a softer hand feel than a standard Z Grip Cord while maintaining superior moisture management. He ties the entire setup together with the Srixon Z-Star XV golf ball, a firm-feeling, three-piece construction engineered for fast ball speeds, mid-to-high flight, and low driver spin.
