Rey Mysterio is one of the most respected WWE Superstars of all time, but his legacy may have hit a hurdle on the latest episode of AAA.
The Hall of Famer was inducting Marisela Peña into the Hall of Fame as part of week three of Lucha Libre AAA’s Héroes Inmortales. It was then that her son, Dorian Roldan, interrupted to claim he had proof of an extramarital affair.
Thanks for the submission!
Roldan also noted that he had filed complaints about unsafe working conditions and that Mysterio had stuck Omos when he was a fan and added himself to his son’s Mega Championship match as a referee.
As a result, Mysterio was suspended, and it seems that these claims will now be investigated since it was noted that there was proof.
Mysterio has been working as the General Manager of AAA over the past few months, and many of these accusations could be seen as an abuse of his new power.
Rey Mysterio recently announced Mexico’s addition to Survivor Series
Despite these recent setbacks, Mysterio has been making a difference in AAA; he’s been able to push the brand forward and recently announced that there would be a Mexico team at Survivor Series later this month.
Mysterio has been able to pass on his legacy in the company to his son, who is part of AAA, and his daughter, who appears on WWE’s NXT show and seems to be paving the way for the two stars to continue following his retirement.
The most recent rumor was that Rey Mysterio was looking to walk away from the ring in 2027, but could continue his role as the General Manager of AAA when he opts to end his in-ring career. There have been rumors that he wanted to end his career with another match against his son Dominik, since the two stars have already had a decorated past that includes a Tag Team Championship reign and a WrestleMania match.
It will be interesting to see where this angle goes and how long Rey Mysterio will be suspended when the proof is revealed publicly in the coming weeks.
