The TSA has warned World Cup visitors about being careful when it comes to ranch sauce, figuring that many of them are now becoming ‘obsessed’ with the condiment.

After plenty of concerns for visiting fans, the 2026 FIFA World Cup finally kicked off on June 11, and the first week of action has seen supporters get behind their nations in some pretty big games already.

Off the pitch, some fans have been exploring everything that the United States has to offer, experiencing quite a few cultural differences. The biggest example of that being X user FreddyLA, who has been hosted by NASA and former NFL star JJ Watt as he and his friends visit some southern states.

With fans getting to experience everything the US has to offer, some will naturally fall in love with some things and want to take them home. The TSA has already identified a few cases of that with ranch sauce.

TSA warns people about taking ranch sauce home and chugging it

That’s right, the TSA has taken to social media to warn fans about chugging ranch sauce, as well as trying to pack it in their luggage to take with them.

“Days since last airport ranch incident: 0,” they posted on Threads on June 10. “Ok, please avoid chugging your ranch outside security, the airlines will check it for you.”

They’ve also posted photos of bottles of ranch that had to be disposed of by agents after travelers tried to take them through airport security.

“Who knew dip-lomacy could be achieved through addressing the obvious: ranch is the king of condiments. The world is slowly discovering ranch pairs perfectly with pizza, chicken wings, fries, onion rings, quesadillas, crackers, chips, vegetables, and the list just keeps growing,” they added on Instagram.

“Are you kicking around the idea of flying home with your favorite dip? If you’re traveling within the U.S., make sure to keep your carry-on sauces to 3.4oz or less and place any larger containers in your checked bags.”

Some users has seen the funny side of the posts, questioning if the TSA have actually had issues with people trying to keep a hold of ranch, or if it’s just a big joke.

“We see a lot of suitcase ranch headed back there,” they also said of England fans taking the sauce home.

Back in March, Hidden Valley Ranch launched a new program that will pay four fans to travel across Europe and test how ranch pairs with international food.
