Facing Cord Rager today figures to be Jason DeCaro, North Carolina’s junior right-handed ace, who threw 6-2/3 innings and allowed two runs on five hits in the Tar Heels’ CWS-opening win over Ole Miss last weekend. That came on the heels (no pun intended) of a complete-game shutout against USC in the Super Regional.
And keep an eye on Caden Glauber, North Carolina’s right-handed freshman sensation. Glauber has a 2.17 ERA. He sports an 11-0 record, and North Carolina is 28-0 in games he pitches.
