Astralis CEO Jonas Gundersen told Pley.gg that his organization is moving away from the Danish culture as it looks to hire its first-ever foreign coach.
Since the organization was launched in 2016, the head coach role has been occupied exclusively by Danes.

“We’re going international,” Gundersen said. “There’s something about the homogeneous culture of Denmark where I think we were a victim of our own success sometimes. So, we got complacent.
“So, I think we’re trying to rather than having a Danish culture led, I think we’d like to try a more international performance culture, but still keeping our Nordic roots and keeping Danes into that, right? So, I think it’s a bit of a shift of what we had before.”
