Young players continue to shine across both the WTA and ATP tours as Wimbledon rapidly approaches.

Mirra Andreeva is arguably leading the way in that regard, with the 19-year-old recently claiming her maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open.

But now the 2026 season has rapidly switched from clay to grass, with the latest swing set to conclude at Wimbledon.

And while Andreeva is likely to be a threat at the tournament in London, there are five other youngsters who are more than capable of causing upsets to the top seeds.

How many Grand Slams titles does Mirra Andreeva have at the same age Aryna Sabalenka is now (28)?

Alexandra Eala – 21

Alexandra Eala has yet to claim a WTA title, but her promising career has involved plenty of shock wins over very high-profile names.

She continued that trend in Berlin by beating Elena Rybakina, Elina Svitolina and Queen’s winner Donna Vekic, demonstrating her talent on grass at the ideal time for a few more upsets at Wimbledon.

Linda Noskova – 21

It was indeed Eala’s fellow 21-year-old who knocked her out in Berlin, before going on to beat Jessica Pegula in the final.

The Czech youngster is now a top 10 player for the first time in her career, and certainly has the game to shock the favorites at SW19 this year.

Jakub Mensik – 20

Noskova’s fellow Czech star Jakub Mensik has been making plenty of noise on the ATP Tour, recently reaching the semifinals of the French Open.

He was beaten by eventual champion Alexander Zverev, which should give him plenty of confidence for another lengthy run at a Grand Slam, even with the change in surface.

Joao Fonseca – 19

Brazilian superstar Joao Fonseca should still be on a high from his quarterfinal run at the French Open, where he beat Novak Djokovic and Casper Ruud before falling to Mensik.

Even far from home, the teenager is certain to attract huge support from his fans at Wimbledon, much like Filipina ace Eala will.

Iva Jovic – 18

A year younger than Fonseca, American sensation Iva Jovic has been among the standout players on the WTA Tour in 2026.

The teenager is already a WTA champion and a top 20 player, and started her grass-court swing with a fine run to the semifinals at Queen’s, where she lost to Emma Raducanu.
