That November 19, 2026, release date for GTA 6 is now even more cemented in place than it ever has been before. There will almost certainly be no more delays at this stage, as Rockstar has now opened pre-orders for what will likely end up being the biggest video game launch of all time. Since you can now pre-order GTA 6, that means we finally know how much it costs, what comes with each edition, and the bonuses you get for buying before release day. Everything you need to know about all of that and more can be found below.
GTA 6 Price And Ultimate Edition Contents
The big news is, of course, the price. The world has been theorizing about it for years, and now Rockstar has confirmed that it will indeed be the second game to have an $80 standard edition after Mario Kart World. It could have been worse, as some thought Rockstar might go the whole hog and charge $100.
That has been saved for the Ultimate Edition, which is the only other edition of GTA 6 available for pre-order. There is no collector’s edition, and no suggestion from Rockstar that there will be one at a later date. You actually get quite a lot of in-game extras for the additional $20 you’ll have to pay for the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition, all of which are listed below.
GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Exclusives
- ’95 Grotti Cheetah (vehicle)
- Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers (weapons)
- Personalized Variants (weapons)
- Vice City Style (looks)
- Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles (vehicles)
- Ganado Retro Build (modkit)
- Rideout Customs (mod shop)
- Sara’s Unisex Salon (hair salon)
- Shitzu Squalo (watercraft)
- Stock 305 (clothing store)
- ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy (vehicle and garage)
- Electric Fang Tattoo (tattoo shop)
- One -Eyed Willie’s (mod shop)
- Goodtime Gear (looks)
- PTT Youning$ Illegal Goods Store (gang compound)
- Classic Car Collection (special commission)
It’s unclear how exactly the Ultimate Edition contents, like stores, will be kept exclusive to the more expensive version of the game. They will presumably still be there in the standard edition; you just won’t be able to access and use them.
GTA 6 Pre-Load Details And Pre-Order Bonuses
There will be plenty of you out there who do not need an incentive to pre-order GTA 6 so that you’re ready to go the second it finally arrives on November 19. Regardless, Rockstar is going to throw some bonuses your way if you do pick up your copy before release day. It has been dubbed the Vintage Vice City Pack, and everything you get with it is listed below.
Every GTA 6 Pre-Order Bonus
- ’55 Vapid Stainer (vehicle and garage)
- Outfits & Hairstyles (looks)
- Channel The Original Kingpin (weapon pattern)
On top of some exclusive in-game items, those who pre-order GTA 6 will really be able to ensure they’re among the first to ever play the game, as Rockstar has already noted that preloads will begin on November 12. That’s a full week before the game’s release. It won’t take a week to download, of course (unless you’re still using dial-up internet), but while the file size is yet to be revealed, it’s probably safe to assume it’s going to be well north of 100GB.
GTA 6 will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and you can place pre-orders for the edition you like on the platform you plan to play on via the links below.
Where To Pre-Order GTA 6
Physical Copies Of GTA 6
Whether you plan on playing on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, there will be physical copies of GTA 6, pre-orders for which will be added to this guide as and when listings begin to go live. That’s the good news. The bad news is that those physical copies will be codes in boxes.
It might seem like an odd tactic by Rockstar to pull such an anti-consumer move and not put its game on a disc, but while it hasn’t explicitly explained why it’s doing this, the reason is almost certainly to avoid leaks. If physical copies of GTA 6 exist, then there is a high probability the game will leak ahead of release day, no matter how careful Rockstar is. Making it digital and codes in boxes only means Rockstar has better control over the situation and there’s very little chance of anything about the game leaking in the days and weeks before release.
GTA 6 Online
The leading reason GTA 5 has remained relevant for 13 years and continued to keep selling five million copies every single quarter is because of GTA Online. Tens of millions of people have effectively taken up residence in that game. That makes migrating those millions to a brand new world in a brand new game an incredibly tall order, and it remains unclear how exactly Rockstar plans to do it.
Even with pre-orders now live and a November 19 release date looming, we are still none the wiser as to what exactly GTA Online will look like in the GTA 6 era. All we know for now is either GTA 6 will not have online functionality at launch, or Rockstar plans on the game’s online component being something players have to buy separately.
We know that because tucked away in the GTA 6 small print is confirmation that the game is strictly a single-player experience. You will be playing this game alone, although it won’t feel like it, as literally millions of others will be playing it at the same time the world over. Stay tuned for news on what will happen to GTA Online moving forward.
