The international team is about to undergo its first changes since its creation.
FOKUS have announced that Erik “ztr” Gustafsson is exploring his options as his loan move from GamerLegion nears its completion, confirming a report from HLTV.
The Swedish captain joined FOKUS in February as the German organization entered Counter-Strike with a newly built international lineup coached by Polish legend Jakub “kuben” Gurczyński.
The team made a splash when they won Urban Riga Open Season 3 and qualified for PGL Bucharest, but the rest of the season was marked by inconsistency. After a second-place finish at BC Game Masters Championship Season 2, FOKUS went out of Super DraculaN Season 1 in the groups following losses to Echo and INFINITE.
French streamer Sebastien “KRL” Perez recently claimed that FOKUS are also exploring options to replace 17-year-old AWPer Georgi “Jorko” Mitev, who was ranked 25th in HLTV’s latest prospects report.
A former member of Ninjas in Pyjamas’s academy, ztr led GamerLegion’s team for 18 months until the return of Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski — the same player he had been asked to replace when he joined the team in July 2024.
