AEW taped this week’s episode of Collision right after the Dynamite on Wednesday night. It featured some high-stakes matches between top AEW stars. However, according to fans at the show, a former AEW champion suffered an injury during his match.

The star is the former TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher. The Protostar was in action on this week’s episode of Collision. He squared off with El Phantasmo in a singles showdown. According to fans online, Fletcher and Phantasmo botched a spot, falling awkwardly from the second rope. Since then, Kyle was limping throughout the match, making fans wonder if he had injured his knee ahead of the AEW Redemption pay-per-view.

However, according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer, Fletcher is doing fine with no signs of any major injury. Alvarez believes that his limping could have been due to slight dehydration during the match.

Besides, professional wrestlers also sell the effects of their opponents’ offense by limping and struggling during the match. It is possible that Fletcher could be trying to sell his match with Phantasmo. With that said, it will be interesting to see how things will unfold for The Protostar from here on.

Kyle Fletcher will face Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Dynamite

Kyle Fletcher has been feuding with Konosuke Takeshita since his return at Double or Nothing. The two stars have been involved in several confrontations over the past few weeks. While they have shared the ring as opponents during the 12 Man steel cage match at Forbidden Door, they have yet to collide in a singles match.

Therefore, next week at the Dynamite special Beach Break episode, Fletcher and Takeshita will collide for the International Championship. It will be their first match in All Elite Wrestling since 2023. Fletcher believes that Takeshita was holding him back all these years. As a result, fans have high expectations for this battle between former friends turned rivals.

Moreover, fans are expecting a major role for Kazuchika Okada, who is also after the International Championship. Nonetheless, only time will tell what Tony Khan has planned for this blockbuster showdown next week on Dynamite.
