Umar Nurmagomedov has a message for former UFC bantamweight titleholder Merab Dvalishvili after the latter punched one of Umar’s friend/fan at RAF Georgia.
Dvalishvili has never been fond of the ex-UFC title challenger, and after beating the Russian at UFC 311, the former has rejected the idea of a rematch. Meanwhile, Umar wants to run it back at all costs and believes that since he broke his hand the last time he fought the Georgian, he therefore could not strike the way he wanted to. But a second meeting will be very different.
Real American Freestyle makes its international debut in Georgia this weekend, and Henry Cejudo and Merab Dvalishvili meet in the main event. Earlier today, during the RAF Georgia presser, when “The Machine” was asked if he’s open to a potential wrestling match with Umar Nurmagomedov under the RAF banner, he quipped:
”No, never. F*** that guy. In RAF, no problem. Whoever you guys choose, whoever RAF chooses, I’ll fight. Except this spoiled guy.”

A massive brawl also broke out after a fan of Umar asked Merab Dvalishvili why he dislikes the 30-year-old. “The Machine” punched the fan and added:
“What’s your problem? I don’t like Umar.”

After learning about the incident, Umar Nurmagomedov took to X to share the following message for Merab Dvalishvili:
“On the Caucasus, a man is defined by honor, dignity, and hospitality. My friend only asked why you were talking behind someone’s back. I don’t need to insult you to feel like a man. Who you really are is shown when there’s no crowd and no one to step in.”
