To complete the Wind Elemental mastery, you have to first unlock the rod by reaching the Glacial Grotto of Northern Expedition, interacting with the Wind Master NPC, and progressing through its questline. Next, you have to catch various fish to complete each mastery quest.
After completing all the mastery quests, you’ll unlock an exclusive title along with these fishing modes:

Quest 2: Solid Ground
- Objective: Catch 50 Terra fish with Wind Elemental
- Reward: Fire Elemental Mode
- How to complete: Upon activating the Earth Elemental Mode on Wind Elemental, the chances of obtaining the Breezed mutation swap with Terra.
Quest 3: Trial by Fire
- Objective: Catch 50 Ignited fish with Wind Elemental
- Reward: Water Elemental Mode
- How to complete: There’s a 30% chance of obtaining the Ignited mutation on each catch after activating the Fire Elemental Mode.
Quest 4: Avatar of the Elements
- Objective: Sacrifice a Breezed Wyvern, a Terra Flower Guardian, an Ignited Magma Leviathan, and a Stormy Blue Whale to the four crystals at the summit of Northern Expedition.
- Reward: Avatar Title
- How to complete: Equip your Wind Elemental with a Truffle Worm and start fishing during the Wyvern Hunt to catch a Blessed Wyvern. Activate the Earth Elemental mode, use Kraken Tentacle, and fish during the Flower Guardian Hunt to catch a Terra Flower Guardian. To catch an Ignited Magma Leviathan, fish at Volcanic Vents with Truffle Worm bait and active Fire Elemental mode. During a Whale Migration, activate the Water Elemental mode and fish using Shrimp bait to catch a Stormy Blue Whale.
