UFC Abu Dhabi went down yesterday (Sat., July 25, 2026) inside Etihad Arena in United Arab Emirates which saw Magomed Ankalaev stop Bogdan Guskov in the fifth and final round of their Light Heavyweight main event (highlights). In the co-main event of the evening, Ramazan Temirov defeated Steve Erceg via first-round knockout (see it again here).
Biggest Winner: Ramazan Temirov
Temirov continues his hot streak inside the Octagon after securing an impressive and violent first-round knockout win over former Flyweight title contender, Steve Erceg. He improves to 3-0 inside the Octagon with two opening round knockouts. He has now won 12 straight fights with seven of them coming via first-round knockout, which is why many are calling him the Flyweight Mike Tyson. To sweeten the pot he earned a cool $100,000 post-fight bonus award for his efforts. If he keeps performing like this big fights will be looming around the corner as well as an eventual Top 15 spot.
Walker has been talking a big game as of late, but the important thing is that he has been backing it up, as well. The jiu-jitsu-loving big man locked down his fifth straight first-round submission win after snatching up Thomas Petersen’s leg and ending his night early with a calf slicer (see it here). He is inching closer to a spot in the Top 10, which means he’s also getting closer to his much-desired fight against Josh Hokit. In the meantime, he will continue to churn away at the division and racking up post-fight bonus awards. The Heavyweight division could use all of the stars it can get, and Walker is on his way to becoming one.
Biggest Loser (s): Santiago Ponzinibbio and Gabriel Bonfim
Santiago Ponzinibbio’s career just keeps taking hits, losing his second straight fight via knockout after Sam Patterson iced him in the second round. All told, “The Argentine Dagger” has now lost four of his last five fights, so to say his best days are far behind him isn’t a stretch. As for Bonfim, he suffered his third straight stoppage defeat after he was submitted Axel Sola in the very first round. Coming into the fight, he was our fighter who need a win the most, and now that he drops to 1-4 in his last five fights, he should be very nervous when the promotion starts making its next round of cuts.
