WW have secured the WINLINE MPKBK CIS LAN Season 6 title after taking down Virtus.pro in the grand final, doing so in a tense five-map series.
With their victorious campaign WW have bagged over 200 VRS points and leapt 40 places in the global VRS, whilst Virtus.pro’s run to the final has secured them over 100 points and helped them creep towards the top 30.
WW had to overcome adversity on their way to the trophy, bouncing back from an early loss to Virtus.pro in the group stage before taking down one of the favorites, TDK, in a hard-fought semi-final series.
Meanwhile Virtus.pro enjoyed a relatively smooth run through the tournament, dropping only two maps as they comfortably swept all of their opponents aside, powered by the consistent excellence of Vladimir “b1st” Krasikov.

The final itself was a back-and-forth affair, Virtus.pro opening the series 1-0 after taking their opponent’s pick of Mirage before WW bounced back with wins on Nuke and Dust2, strong first-half showings giving them the leeway needed to grind out a 2-1 series lead.
Virtus.pro sent the series to a decider thanks to a powerful performance by Alexander “AquaRS” Kovalev on Cache, only for Denis “deko” Zhukov to steal the show in dramatic fashion, the sniper posting an utterly ridiculous 3.44 rating and +21.92% swing on the CT side of Anubis to ensure his team secured the trophy.
The trophy represents a significant victory for WW, who feature full-time streamers among their number including Ivan “StRoGo” Shurpatov, who currently has over 2.2 million followers on Twitch. Virtus.pro meanwhile will be left ruing the missed opportunity, but can still view the tournament as a success considering the benefit to their VRS position.
