Luka Doncic put together an incredible 33.5 ppg season for the LA Lakers in 2025-26, and it still was only his second best statistical year.
In 2023-24, with the Dallas Mavericks, Doncic averaged 33.9 ppg, and also shot a highly efficient 38.2 percent from three-point range.

Anthony Edwards has been getting better every season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but his scoring averages can’t touch Luka Doncic’s peaks yet.
Edwards’ career high of 28.8 ppg last season still falls short of Doncic’s highs – although it was better than the Slovenian’s 28.2ppg for the Mavericks and Lakers in 2024-25, the year he was traded.
Where Edwards does excel is with his three-point shooting. For two consecutive years he has averaged above 39 percent – higher than Doncic’s best ever.

Doncic led the Mavericks past the Timberwolves in an epic seven-game series in 2024 in the Western Conference Finals.
A year later Edwards exacted his revenge by eliminating Doncic’s LA Lakers from the first round of the playoffs.
