Overwatch recently released several major content drops and teasers in the wake of its newest season, Heroes of Butan, which introduces the character D.Mon that fans have been waiting for over 10 years to play as. While the powerful new character has been taking up most of the spotlight since the initial announcement, fans were quick to point out that the newest trailer released today offers yet another teaser for its next content drop.

Right at the end of the launch trailer for Heroes of Busan, the fan page FIMBASE spotted the not-so-subtle confirmation that one of its most popular collaborations will be returning yet again for another brand-new release.

LE SSERAFIM Is Returning To Overwatch Once Again

As if the billboards at the end of the Overwatch trailer swapping to a LE SSERAFIM logo in the last few seconds of the trailer weren’t enough, the official Overwatch account on X shared an image with everything fans can expect from the new event, which confirmed that we would be getting another new LE SSERAFIM collaboration.

Although Overwatch has re-released the skins and bundles in the past already, the teaser states that Overwatch will be getting a brand-new collaboration as opposed to a simple re-release, with new cosmetics to buy or earn through free challenges. While fans had already suspected that a third collaboration might be coming given that LE SSERAFIM announced that they would be performing at BlizzCon 2026, the latest reveals finally solidified the popular fan theory.

Overwatch Is Now Embracing “Oddball Characters” Again, And It’s Because Of Jetpack Cat

Jetpack Cat might be the antidote to all of the samey Overwatch character designs.

Combined with the fact that LE SSERAFIM is rumored to be one of Overwatch’s most successful collaboration efforts of all time and might have even saved the game from being shut down, the K-pop group’s return isn’t exactly a surprising sight to see as an inclusion in Blizzard’s plans for Overwatch to help maintain its financial goals.

Overwatch 2 Has More Collaborations On The Way

Considering Overwatch has added several new characters that would fit perfectly within the LE SSERAFIM cosmetic lineup, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Freja, Anran, Sierra, or Vendetta getting skins as a part of the new collaboration effort. This doesn’t even mention those like DVA or Kiriko that are both bestsellers for the game when it comes to cosmetics.

Of course, LE SSERAFIM is far from the only collaboration project on the horizon for Overwatch, with the popular skin sets continuing to be a major pull for the classic hero shooter. Although not every collab event is as well received as the others, LE SSERAFIM will likely be another smashing success for Overwatch if its previous events are anything to go by, both from the status of the group itself and the frequently high quality of the skins.

Even if you’re not a fan of the offerings brought by groups like LE SSERAFIM or other K-pop-adjacent media, previous collaborations show that there is still plenty to look forward to, whether in the form of anime, video games, franchises, and plenty of other media that Overwatch could, or should, partner with.
