Bugatti’s ridiculous 137-inch TV is going viral for unfolding itself in 45 seconds

A massive Bugatti-branded TV has gone viral online thanks to its ability to transform from what looks like a piece of furniture into a 137-inch screen at the push of a button.

Originally announced back in June, footage of the device’s massive screen and ability to automatically fold away has resurfaced online and brought renewed attention to exactly how it works.

Created by Austrian luxury TV manufacturer C SEED in collaboration with Bugatti, the N1 is available with either a 110-inch or 137-inch 4K MicroLED display.

When switched off, the display folds completely away, leaving behind what Bugatti describes as an “architectural sideboard,” with a design inspired by the brand’s line of hypercars.

Press a button, however, and the screen emerges and unfolds itself through a multi-stage process that takes 45 seconds from start to finish.

The TV can rotate through 180 degrees once deployed, while its speakers similarly extend when it’s turned on and retract when no longer needed.

The TV’s display, a 4K MicroLED panel with HDR10+, is designed to hide the joins between the individual sections once they’ve unfolded.

Describing the design goals behind the TV, C SEED CEO Alexander Swatek said, “We wanted to create something that no longer belongs to the television category,” he said, comparing the philosophy behind it to Bugatti making more than “just a car.”

Neither Bugatti nor C SEED publicly lists a price for the N1, with prospective buyers instead directed toward selected partners and authorized dealers.

C SEED will show the N1 at CEDIA Expo in Denver from September 2-4, where attendees will have the opportunity to see the device in-person.
