Maxxine Dupri is a heel now, and it seems that she may have forgotten her own family since she recently attacked her brother Max Dupri at a WWE event.
LA Knight has changed his persona, but many fans remember that he was the one who called Maxxine to the main roster when he was Max Dupri at the helm of Maximum Male Models.
Thanks for the submission!
While he’s managed to shed that name, Maxxine hasn’t, and since she remains a Dupri, many fans are wondering why the reunion didn’t go as planned.
At a recent event, LA Knight did the whole switch-around move with Austin Theory to make Maxxine Dupri think she was hugging him, only for her to realise and lash out. This should have been something that WWE made a bigger deal out of because it is a sibling reunion.
This has been called out by fans on social media, sharing the following video.
Max Dupri was a role that LA Knight was unable to thrive in on the main roster, and so he chose to move back to his Knight character as Maxxine Dupri took over Maximum Male Models.
It’s interesting to note that LA Knight was only Max Dupri from May to October 2022, when Triple H took over and allowed him to return to his former character.
Why didn’t Maxxine Dupri recognise her brother?
It’s likely that WWE doesn’t want to make any references to Max Dupri’s character since it was something that LA Knight disliked, and at present he is being pushed towards Roman Reigns and the World Championship.
Maxxine is also a heel at the moment, while LA Knight is a face, and WWE has struggled within The Bloodline to make sense of stars who are face and heel working together.
The likelihood is that if they meet on RAW, there could be a comment about them made by Corey Graves, who is happy to make the references that fans have come to expect, but WWE themselves have tried to forget Max Dupri ever existed.
Both Max and Maxxine have moved on from their time in MMM, and Mace and Mansoor have since been released so there really is no reason to reference him.
