WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has opened up about one of the strangest legal situations she faced outside the wrestling ring, revealing that she once had to pay around $15,000 after reposting a paparazzi photo of herself.
On the Nikki and Brie Show podcast, Nikki recalled a period when celebrities were increasingly targeted by photographers over the use of paparazzi images on social media. The former WWE Divas Champion admitted that she was one of those who were targeted after sharing a photograph of herself.

“Yeah. And it was my pregnant me walking, and I reposted it to my Stories, and I got sued,” Nikki recalled. (H/T Ringside News)
The situation was particularly surprising because Nikki claimed she did not obtain the picture directly from the photographer. According to her recollection, she had seen the photograph in a fan post and was tagged in it before reposting it to her Instagram Stories.

Despite that, the photographer was still able to pursue Nikki over the image. The Hall of Famer eventually revealed that she paid approximately $15,000 to settle the matter, describing the situation as a “dirty little game.”
Brie Bella also remembered the period and expressed her disbelief at the practice. The sisters discussed how celebrities were being photographed by paparazzi in public before potentially facing legal action for sharing those same photographs on social media.
The revelation is another example of the unusual challenges Nikki Bella has faced as one of WWE’s most recognizable stars. Even after stepping away from full-time wrestling, Nikki has remained a prominent name in the entertainment world.
That has certainly been the case recently. Nikki Bella returned to WWE programming and is currently involved in a storyline with Paige, with the two set to collide in a singles match on SmackDown in Mexico City on September 11.
Brie Bella, meanwhile, is still recuperating from a shoulder injury that she suffered during the Six-Woman Tag Team Match at this year’s SummerSlam.
Nikki’s wild paparazzi story may have surfaced years later, but it offers an interesting glimpse into the less glamorous side of celebrity life.
