Former UFC two-division champion Alex Pereira’s sister, Aline Pereira, will have a chance to secure a UFC contract next week.
As per reports, Aline is set to lock horns with Smilla Sundell on October 13 for a UFC contract in the final episode of Season 10 of Dana White’s Contender Series. [First rep: Léo Guimaraes] Guimaraes posted the same on X:
“EXCLUSIVE: I was able to confirm that Aline Pereira, sister of Alex Poatan, has been scheduled to fight on the Contender Series on October 13. The plan is for the Brazilian to face Smilla Sundell.” [Translated]

So far in Season 10 of DWCS, several fighters have impressed UFC CEO Dana White and received contracts. Some have already secured highlight-reel finishes on their short-notice UFC debuts.
Aline Pereira takes on Smilla Sundell next week on DWCS
Aline Pereira is the current Karate Kombat Women’s flyweight titleholder. She’s also competed under the Glory Kickboxing banner and was also a part of the LFA flyweight division. Her most recent fight was on May 16 at MVP MMA 1, where she defeated Jade Masson-Wong by split decision.
The 35-year-old Brazilian who trains at Teixeira MMA & Fitness boasts a kickboxing record of 6-2 and a pro-MMA record of 3-2.
Her DWCS opponent, Smilla Sundell, on the other hand, is currently undefeated at 2-0. Notably, the 21-year-old Swedish fighter is a former ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion and was also the youngest fighter ever to win a Muay Thai world title.
Sundell has also confirmed the DWCS matchup. She posted on her Facebook:
“It’s official! I’m fighting Aline Pereira on DWCS on October 13 🔥🥊 DCS – Diaz Combat Sports Dana White’s Contender Series.”
