Srixon has launched its second generation of ZXi irons, incorporating the latest golf manufacturing technology and a long-time stalwart of forged iron creation, Endo Manufacturing.
Developed through advancements in forging technology, AI-assisted design, and tour-driven shaping, the new ZXi iron lineup delivers enhanced feel, stability, speed, forgiveness and consistency while preserving the performance characteristics of the previous generation.
“From the materials we use to the way each head is forged, shaped, and weighted, every decision was made with feel in mind,” Casey Shultz, Srixon Senior Product Manager, shared in a release. “It’s the hallmark of Srixon Irons and something we’ve always refused to compromise on. With this generation, we pushed that philosophy even further, creating irons that perform at the highest level while delivering the rewarding sensation golfers instantly recognize when they’ve hit one pure.”
The ZXi family includes four models: ZXi7 Players Irons, ZXi5 Players Performance Irons, the all-new ZXi5+ Players Distance Irons, and ZXiU Utility Irons.
While Srixon has used Endo Manufacturing in Japan as a provider of its forged irons before, the ZXi iron lineup becomes the first family of irons to all be fully forged by the facility.
Endo Manufacturing is widely recognized as one of the world’s premier forging facilities, having forged Tiger Woods’ famous Titleist 681T iron, which the 15-time major winner used for his historic “Tiger Slam,” where he won four consecutive majors between 2000-01.
The combination of advanced manufacturing processes, premium materials, and exacting quality standards allows Srixon engineers to execute precise forging techniques required by the new i-Forged platform while delivering exceptional consistency from head to head.
Srixon engineers also leveraged artificial intelligence in the creation of the second-generation ZXi irons. The ZXi5, ZXi5+, and ZXiU feature a new “MainFrame iQ” system that uses AI-assisted design and thousands of simulated impact scenarios to create a more efficient face structure. By reducing face mass by as much as 8% and strategically repositioning weight throughout each head, Srixon achieved faster ball speeds, increased forgiveness, higher MOI and more consistent performance across the face.

Srixon’s players’ iron in the ZXi7, introduces “PureFrame iQ,” which develops off Srixon’s previous “PureFrame” technology. Using AI simulation tools, engineers expanded and optimized the forged ridge positioned directly behind the sweet spot. This stiffens the impact zone and reduces unwanted face deformation, while increasing stability and utilizing mass more efficiently than the previous generation. With this, the new ZXi7 irons produce a soft yet responsive feedback, something that better players should thrive off of.

Throughout the ZXi set is a tuned weight distribution update, which incorporates additional perimeter weighting in the long irons for forgiveness while concentrating mass toward the center of the short irons for enhanced shot-shaping capability and precision.
The second generation also sees a new addition (no pun intended). The debut of the ZXi5+ combines a compact player’s profile with stronger lofts, longer blade lengths, wider soles and increased forgiveness. It’s an iron model designed for golfers seeking greater distance while retaining the appearance and feel of a forged players iron.
“With the inclusion of the ZXiR and ZXiR HL Iron series serving the needs of game-improvement golfers, we saw an opportunity to introduce a fully forged hollow Players Distance Iron for those seeking more distance and forgiveness in a more tour-authentic package,” Shultz added. Our ZXi5 Irons have been, and will continue to be, phenomenal performers but the addition of ZXi5+ allows us to fit a broader range of golfers within the series.”
