5 best-looking cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket Team Rocket’s Ambition expansion

The Pokemon TCG Pocket Team Rocket’s Ambition expansion is the first owner’s Pokemon set in the game. It released on August 27, 2026 and focuses mostly on Pokemon owned by Team Rocket. There aren’t a lot of great full arts since most of them use similar Team Rocket backgrounds. However, there are still a few gems in this set.

So let us take a look at the best looking cards from the Team Rocket’s Ambition set that players should try to get from packs.

1) Team Rocket’s Kecleon

Team Rocket’s Kecleon gets a nice Art Rare in this set. The artwork shows a Kecleon hanging from the ceiling in a lab, using its tongue to eat a top secret file. In the background we can see a grunt on the other side of the door with a look of panic on their face as the Kecleon consumes the file with important information.

2) Team Rocket’s Moltres ex

The fact that all three Legendary Birds of Kanto are a part of this set is a reference to the Pokemon Adventures manga. In that story, Team Rocket capture all three and in typical mad scientist fashion, fuse the three together. As for this Special Art Rare, we see Team Rocket’s Moltres standing on top of a water tower, with the heat radiating from its wings depicted as a red hue emanating from them.

3) Team Rocket’s Articuno ex

Much like Moltres above, Team Rocket’s Articuno is also perched on a high place in its Special Art Rare. In this case, it is perched on a pole and is firing off a blizzard from its wings.

4) Team Rocket’s Zapdos ex

Continuing the theme of these Legendary Birds perching atop high places, we have Team Rocket’s Zapdos. In the Special Art Rare, we can see Zapdos standing on what looks like part of a factory and the clouds and lightning surrounding it show the bird displaying its electric abilities.

5) Team Rocket’s Weezing ex

We end up with a fun one with the Special Art Rare of Team Rocket’s Weezing ex. In the card, we can see the Weezing in question exhaling its gases as it sleeps. What earns this card a spot on this list is the over the top reaction of the various grunts as they succumb to the effects of the gas.
