5-time WWE champion shows up and destroys Chris Jericho following his win over Ricochet

Chris Jericho and Ricochet stood once again tonight on AEW Dynamite. Also, a former WWE star has laid eyes on the former AEW World Champion. Tommaso Ciampa, one of the top heels in the promotions, is looking to make a name for himself at Le Champion’s expense.

The former AEW World Champion’s rivalry with the Highlight of the Night has reached great heights in the past few weeks. Since Jericho’s return in April, he hasn’t been able to defeat Ricochet. At Double or Nothing’s Stadium Stampede contest, Chris Jericho was about to pin the former National Champion for the first time during their feud. Unfortunately, Bishop Kaun took the bullet for his Demand leader and got pinned instead of the One and Only.

Tonight on Dynamite, both stars battled once again. This was their second singles match. The first encounter took place at Dynasty. On the post-Double or Nothing Dynamite, everyone was banned from the ringside for their match. After a hard-fought battle, the Demo God picked up the win. However, before he could catch his breath and celebrate, Tommaso Ciampa ambushed Le Champion. The former even choked the veteran with his shirt while Jericho struggled for help.

Tommaso Ciampa quickly made an impact in All Elite Wrestling by winning the TNT Championship just days after debuting in the company. While he made clear that he wants to become the AEW World Champion, he must become a contender for it. He might have started climbing a ladder to the top. Just before Double or Nothing, he defeated Mark Briscoe in a gruelling contest. It will be interesting to see how Chris Jericho responds to this brutal attack.

Also, it seems like the feud between Ricochet and Jericho is finally done. It remains to be seen what will be next for the former National Champion.
