Alex Eala should take a lot of pride in a record she holds from the 2026 season.
Eala has enjoyed another breakthrough season this year, having won her first WTA title in Washington D.C., reached the second week of Wimbledon and subsequently broken into the top 20.
However, the Filipina has suffered some recent disappointments, with Eala only winning bronze at the Asian Games and losing her only match at the Singapore Open.
As Eala looks to return to form at the Wuhan Open, she should take credit from a statistic she leads in 2026.

Alex Eala has the most top 10 wins of any WTA player aged 21 and under in 2026
Eala has already achieved a lot of success and is one of the most popular players in tennis right now, so it is easy to forget that she is still only 21 years old.
There are currently a number of WTA players aged 21 and under who are achieving a lot of success, including both Roland Garros champion Mirra Andreeva and Wimbledon winner Linda Noskova.
While Andreeva and Noskova have won Grand Slam titles this year, Eala has won more matches against top 10 players in 2026. In fact, Eala has won more matches against top 10 players than any other player aged 21 and under this year.

The closest player to Eala in this statistic is Victoria Mboko, who has won five matches against top 10 players. This is despite Mboko being out with injury since the grass court season, where she suffered a left knee injury.
Andreeva is the highest-ranked of all of these players, but she has only won one of her six matches against top 10 players in 2026.
