Former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira and heavyweight contender Valter Walker’s bad blood continues to boil.
Alex Pereira will make his UFC heavyweight return at UFC 335 later this year against Sergei Pavlovich, but he’s at odds with another surging contender.
Pereira and Valter Walker, the older brother of veteran Johnny Walker, have been at odds for weeks. The two Brazilians traded barbs on social media, leading Pereira to publicly challenge Walker to a sparring match for money.
Walker predicts Pavlovich will knock out Pereira in the first round of their upcoming five-round fight. The grappling ace claimed that Pereira has a ‘bruised ego’ and ‘small d—‘ during one of his recent podcast episodes, accusing Pereira of making money his main focus.
After Walker’s latest remarks went viral, it didn’t take long for Pereira to hit back at his heavyweight colleague.

In a recent Instagram comment, Pereira responded to Walker’s latest comments.
“Anyone want to make a video analyzing Valter’s record and explaining why he’s a fraud?” Pereira responded to Walker.
“He had good results before entering the UFC, but let’s not just look at the numbers. Let’s analyze who he fought, the level of the opponents he faced, and when he got to the UFC, who he lost to and who he won against. If he gets a good fighter, he’s screwed!
“You can look at my record and compare it too,” Pereira continued. “And remember that I didn’t do much in MMA before entering the UFC. What helped me was all the experience I gained in kickboxing.”
As of this writing, Walker remains unbooked for his next UFC fight. He hasn’t fought since a first-round submission against former LFA champ Thomas Petersen at UFC 329.
In the meantime, tensions between Pereira and Walker continue to escalate, and a future fight between the Brazilian stars is a strong possibility.
