Food for thought. While Nico Schlotterbeck’s educated left foot makes his selection a given on one side of Germany’s defense, Jonathan Tah’s lack of speed makes him more questionable on the other.
Tah really struggled against the transition of Sergino Dest and Christian Pulisic in that half, in a way that probably opens the door for Antonio Rudiger.
The positives? Nathaniel Brown has down well down the left, in that sometime inverted full back role, and the passing, in general, has been slick through midfield.
Not that it’s mattered; Germany’s final ball has been dreadful.
