Argentina versus Egypt is a clash of two ageing superstars: in the blue corner, Lionel Messi, and in the red corner, Mo Salah.

Messi turned 39 last month but has been in sparkling form during World Cup 2026, scoring seven times in four matches as he leads Argentina’s bid to retain the trophy.

Egypt captain Salah, 34, has also provided some important contributions to help the Pharaohs progress from the group stage for the first time and then claim their maiden knockout win, against Australia in the last 32. It promises to be a fascinating contest in Atlanta – here’s who’s on duty for ITV.
