Whether or not you find Elon Musk a detestable human being, many would agree he is particularly irritating – and embarrassing. Over the past few years, the one-time trillionaire has done such a spectacular job of tarnishing his public image that people don’t want to drive a car associated with him, and even those close to him started leaking embarrassing details about his alleged drug use to the press.
So, when Musk started to move in on land owned by Cards Against Humanity – the company behind the card game of the same name – it was not best pleased with its new neighbour. Musk’s SpaceX city, Starbase, was built around the land owned by the company, prompting a lawsuit over claims that SpaceX had dumped trash on the land. That lawsuit was eventually settled, and the case was dropped, with Cards Against Humanity eager to get the land clean again.
Now, Cards Against Humanity wants to use its rights to the land to send a message to Musk. In a new campaign, the company is raising funds to commission a monument on its land – a monument that sends a clear message: “Elon Musk is a sad little b*tch with no friends.”
Cards Against Humanity Goes After Elon Musk Once Again
“In 2017, 150,000 people paid Cards Against Humanity $15 to protect a pristine parcel of land on the US-Mexico border from racist billionaire Donald Trump’s stupid wall,” Cards Against Humanity’s statement reads. “In 2024, an even richer, more racist billionaire-Elon Musk-snuck up on us from behind and completely f**ked that land with gravel, tractors, and space garbage.
“Now, our parcel has been annexed into a ‘town’ called ‘Starbase’-a corporate hellscape littered with broken rockets and ugly mansions for Musk’s executives,” the statement continues. “But hope is not lost! We still have our rights as proud Texas landowners: We can build something on our land. Something that will annoy Elon Musk. A grand monument to make him wonder, for a brief moment, ‘Wait, am I a sad little b*tch with no friends?'”
To fund this, Cards Against Humanity has opened the “Official Elon Musk is a Sad Little B*tch with No Friends Monument Design Committee”. Joining the committee will set you back ten bucks, but you can also fund the project through purchases of select Cards Against Humanity packs.
I can’t see Musk’s ego letting this slide if Cards Against Humanity is able to pull it off. We’ll have to wait and see if this results in another legal battle.
