UFC Paris live results and play-by-play analysis

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is live THIS AFTERNOON (Sat., Sept. 5, 2026) with UFC Paris, streaming live online via Paramount+. The event happens at Accor Arena in Paris, France, featuring a special Octagon newcomer in the main event.

Salahdine Parnasse vs. Dan Hooker is our main event, going down in the Lightweight division. Parnasse is a long-time former KSW champion who made a big splash with his one and done appearance at MVP MMA. The reason he was done there was because UFC wanted to poach him out of that fledgling promotion before he drew too many serious mixed martial arts (MMA) fans over to it. Hooker comes into this one off two losses and looking very much like a sacrificial lamb. However, as last week taught us, -600 odds can be overcome.

The co-main is an all French affair, in the Featherweight division, with Fares Ziam meeting Axel Sola. Both of these guys are action fighters known for putting on a show. They should get the crowd roaring in Paris, even if it’s not obvious to the locals whom they should be cheering for.

Rounding out the main card is Michael Page vs. Nursulton Ruziboev, Daniil Donchenko vs. Punahele Soriano, Kurtis Campbell vs. Trevor Peek and Losene Keita vs. Muhammad Naimov. Page might be trying to fight out of his UFC contract here, which is the reason UFC has pared him with a big, rangy striker who can also make you quit on the ground.

The featured “Prelim” is Morgan Charriere vs. Felipe Lima. The undercard also boasts Mario Pinto vs. Ryan Spann, Oumar Sy vs. Modestas Bukauskas and Nathaniel Wood against late replacement Pavel Andrusca. Further down the card we have Michael Aljarouj vs. Fabia Sintes, Nora Cornolle vs. Klaudia Sygula, Matthieu Duclos vs. Lucas Felipe Dias and Delphine Benouaich vs. Sofia Montenegro to make up the numbers. Aljarouj does look like an intriguing prospect, though.

UFC PARIS PLAY-BY-PLAY UPDATES

Mario Pinto vs. Ryan Spann: Spann rocked Pinto with an uppercut early. But Pinto was able to recover and land some haymakers of his own. Pinto then settled down a little and got some takedowns. On the ground he was merciless with well placed ground and pound. Spann was exhausted and demoralized at the end of the second round. Pinto burst out the corner for the second round and battered Spann to get him back down and finish him with ground strikes.

Oumar Sy vs. Modestas Bukauskas: What a comeback? Sy dominated Bukauskas in the first round, pinning him down and coming close to a ground and pound finish. Bukauskas got up, though, at the urging of the referee and was able to survive. Turns out all that domination tired out Sy. In the second Bukauskas was able to get up quickly from a Sy takedown and then he turned up the pace, putting a beating on Sy on the feet. The tired Sy crumbled and Bakauskas was able to come away with a real gutsy win over Sy (whose time as a top prospect seems to be over).

Nathaniel Wood vs. Pavel Andrusca: Wood looked good early on, stinging Andrusca with his striking. At that point Andrusca, a late replacement making his debut looked a little out of his depth. That might have just been Octagon jitters, though. As the fight went on he looked more comfortable and his wrestling started to give Wood a lot of problems. Andrusca was able to take Wood down and threaten with a submission in the second and then start beating him to the punch in the third. I scored it 29-28 for the newcomer.

Michael Alarouj vs. Fabia Sintes: Alarouj’s striking looked nice in the first round, but his inability to stop a naked single leg takedown meant he spent far more of this fight on his back than he would have liked to. After a close opening round spent mainly on the feet, Sintes was able to suck up lots of control time in the second and third. Alarouj mounted a comeback in the third, but was unable to do any serious damage. I scored the fight for Sintes, to break France’s winning streak.

Official decision: Fabia Sintes def. Michael Alarouj by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-27)

Nora Cornolle vs. Klaudia Sygula: The clinch was the story of this fight. Cornolle, the bigger body, was able to establish the clinch often in this fight and prevent Sygula from gaining an advantage through her better speed and volume striking. It wasn’t pretty, but Cornolle did a good job of bullying Sygula around and getting a convincing decision.

Matthieu Duclos vs. Luis Felipe Dias: Another brawl! Dias might have been winning this one, landing plenty on Duclos as he blitzed forwards. He was very wild, though. Eventually he ran into a check hook and was briefly knocked out. He seemed to wake up when he hit the ground and was defending himself as the referee came in to break it up.

Official decision: Matthieu Duclos def. Luis Felipe Dias by TKO (check hook), round 1 (4:45)

Delphine Benouaich vs. Sofia Montenegro: that was a brutal start to the event. Benouaich and Montenegro throw down from the opening bell. Benouiach landed the cleaner shots early, but Montenegro’s offense seemed to be wearing on her more. In the second, though, she landed a hard straight punch right to the jaw. That put down Montengro and Benouiach then split her open with brutal elbows. With Montenegro bleeding all over the place, Benouiach then took the back and choked her to sleep. Keep an eye on this girl!
