Aaron Pico still has his crosshairs on former UFC featherweight title challenger Movsar Evloev.
Last year, Evloev and Pico were going to clash in Abu Dhabi. However, the Russian fighter suffered an injury in camp and had to withdraw, due to which the bout had to be cancelled.
Pico made his UFC debut later that year against Lerone Murphy and was knocked out cold in Round 1. However, the 30-year-old has bounced back with victories over Patricio Pitbull and, most recently, a knockout win over Losene Keita at UFC 333.
Evloev, meanwhile, suffered his first pro-MMA loss at UFC 333. He was knocked out by current and two-time featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski in Round 2 of the main event of the aforementioned numbered event.
While Pico wants a rematch with Lerone Murphy next, he is also game to lock horns with Evloev.
Aaron Pico Calls Out Movsar Evloev
Aaron Pico would love to fight Movsar Evloev but doesn’t think the latter will return to the octagon soon, especially after his UFC 333 TKO loss. The American fighter told Red Corner MMA:
“I’d love to fight Movsar. We were supposed to fight, but I think it’s going to be a while before he comes back. I mean, especially after that and his long training camp. Stylistically, that’s a really good matchup for me. But I don’t know when he’s going to return. I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon.”

Waiting for Evloev does not make sense for Pico. The UFC featherweight title might soon be vacant if “The Great” chooses to move up to chase two-division glory before retiring.
Before that happens, Pico must try to rack up more impressive wins to insert his name in the title picture.
