Aiemann Zahabi had a recent winning streak snapped by a former divisional kingpin, and the Canadian combatant has offered insights into how he is feeling in the wake of his setback at the UFC’s White House card. This was expressed in a response to Georges St. Pierre that was posted to social media, addressing his long-time teammate Zahabi losing to Sean O’Malley at UFC Freedom 250.

‘Suga’ Sean halted Zahabi in the second stanza with strikes and hit a salute with GSP operating as one of Zahabi’s cornermen during the June 14th contest. On his X account @GeorgesStPierre while tweeting out some behind-the-scenes photos taken at the unique UFC event, St. Pierre said,

“Unfortunately, we came up short last night. At this level, things happen incredibly fast. When you zig when you should zag, the margin for error is very small. I’m confident Aiemann will learn from this experience and come back stronger. Congratulations to Sean O’Malley and his team on a great performance. Thank you to everyone for the support.”

Via his X account @Aiemannzahabi, the Canadian bantamweight contender responded in a quote tweet to the former two-division UFC champ as Zahabi stated,

“My heart is at peace. For what is meant for me will never miss me, and whatever misses me was never meant for me. This was the theme of this camp. Today I walk that talk.”

Aiemann Zahabi suffers his first UFC defeat of the decade

Aiemann Zahabi had a lengthy winning streak snapped in the octagon, as was mentioned, and it was so impressive that the prior time he tasted defeat was in another decade altogether. Before being halted by Sean O’Malley over the weekend, Zahabi’s last UFC loss was against Vince Morales in May 2019.

Following that setback at the UFC on ESPN offering, Zahabi went on to put together a seven-fight win streak with statement wins over names like Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera and Jose Aldo prior to losing to the former UFC bantamweight champion in DC on Sunday.
