Club America visit the Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara to face off with Atlas in the 2026 Apertura. With 24 points from 11 games so far, the Eagles are currently leading the league table, sitting three points clear of both Toluca and Atlas.

Milton Valenzuela was sent off for them in the 68th minute but Necaxa were unable to capitalize on their numerical advantage from thereon until Atlas scored their second, which put the tie to bed.

The win also extended their unbeaten run in the competition to four games since the 5-2 humbling by Toluca on 12 September, although it’s worth mentioning that Atlas have failed to win any of their last four home games.
