Attack on Titan fans can now bring the anime’s iconic weaponry into the kitchen with a collection of knives modeled after the Scout Regiment’s ultrahard steel blades.
The anime has teamed up with Japanese knife brand NiNJA to release five designs based on the Titan-slaying swords Eren and his companions use.
This means AoT fans will be able to slice and dice ingredients in style, with everything from multipurpose kitchen knives to smaller utility knives and a serrated bread knife.
Each blade was manufactured in Seki City, one of Japan’s best-known blade-making regions, and comes with Attack on Titan-themed markings.
Attack on Titan knives come in five designs
As shown in the images below, the knife collection features diagonal markings and textured, curved handles that make it look like miniature versions of the anime’s blades. Every knife also has the Scout Regiment’s Wings of Freedom emblem proudly engraved upon it for an extra finishing touch.
The collection includes silver and black versions of its main kitchen knife (¥19,800/$128) and a smaller utility knife (¥17,600), plus a premium Damascus version with a striking design.
This cool-looking knife will set you back ¥33,000 (around $215) and is made by layering different metals, giving each knife a unique wave-like pattern.
However, the bread knife wins the award for looking the most like the Scout Regiment’s signature sword thanks to its longer and thinner blade design. In fact, it looks like something Captain Levi would use during the show’s calmer moments, when he’s not busy cleaning the Survey Corps’ barracks.
According to the official store page, all the knives are made from rust-resistant molybdenum vanadium steel, sharpened by hand, and finished with a titanium coating that protects against scratches and makes them easier to clean.
Fans can also get their hands on a bonus Attack on Titan flexible cutting board with their purchase, which also comes with the Scout Regiment’s logo. As for where you can get the knives, they’re currently being sold through Garrack’s official online store and several Japanese retailers.
