World Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Bron Breakker have been ruling the tag team division on Monday nights as part of The Vision. However, compared with the other members, including Bronson Reed and Logan Paul, Theory has been presented somewhat differently. With Maxxine Dupri on his side, the former United States Champion has been trying to add edge to the stable, but it hasn’t really connected with fans. Dupri and Theory’s pairing made sense initially, as they were embroiled in a rivalry with Akira Tozawa and Otis. But since then, she has not been essential in any other storylines involving The Vision.

Replacing Maxxine may be one option, but what if Austin Theory is the one to leave the group? It may surprise newer fans, but Theory is indeed the most successful singles performer in The Vision at the moment, and it would not hurt him to return to singles competition for good.
If we have to consider his replacement, here are 3 reasons why this current WWE champion should replace Austin Theory in The Vision.
#3 The Vision is missing an edge that Grayson Waller would provide
As The Vision is busy with Oba Femi, one thing is becoming clear: they lack an edge on the microphone. Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker can all bring the fight against Oba or anyone else, for that matter, but there really isn’t anyone to hype them up after the vacuum left by Paul Heyman.
On the other hand, on NXT, it took Grayson Waller just one promo to win over the audience. Fans resonated with his comments and started showing support for Waller despite him being a heel. WWE decided to capitalize on the momentum and crowned him NXT Champion within a few weeks of his arrival on the brand. If a talker like Waller joins The Vision instead of Austin Theory, he would not only provide them with muscle but also help them gain a psychological advantage over their opponents.
#2 Gives WWE a proper way to take the NXT Title off Waller
NXT’s top card is loaded at the moment, featuring talents like Tony D’Angelo, Naraku, Cruz Montana, Zilla Fatu, and Mason Rook. Main roster WWE Superstars have returned to NXT in the past, but none of them stayed for the long haul. Grayson Waller backed his decision to return to NXT, stating that he had never won a singles title in the brand, and in just a few weeks, he won the fatal 4-way match at NXT Heatwave to become champion.
Technically, Waller has achieved what he set out to do, and that’s why it seems WWE would not keep him in NXT for a considerable amount of time. It would also hurt his character if he quickly loses the gold. That can be tackled by bringing him back to the main roster by replacing Austin Theory in The Vision. Imagine a scenario where Waller challenges Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship while Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker focus on the top title.
#1 Austin Theory can still be a great babyface
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are former WWE Tag Team Champions. When they were partners, many fans felt Waller was actually holding Theory back as a performer. WWE teased a breakup of the two; fans started to slowly rally behind Theory, and then, suddenly, they quietly disbanded A-Town Down Under when Austin suffered a legitimate injury. In one year, both of them are champions again, but the man supposedly hurting Theory’s momentum is now lauded by fans following his NXT Championship win.
If Grayson Waller joins The Vision, there may initially be no trouble between him and Theory, but the suppressed tension between them would eventually need to be addressed. As RAW needs fresh babyfaces, this scenario provides the perfect opportunity to break away from the shackles of The Vision and shine on his own as a babyface, exactly as fans had wanted him to.
