The young man behind the viral ‘dat bih gah’ video is speaking out after a 12-second clip of him eating pineapple slices soaked in Kool-Aid took social media by storm.

In case you haven’t been online in the last week or so, there’s a new food combination that’s taking over the internet: fresh pineapple spears soaked in Kool-Aid.

The extremely sweet treat is so popular that people are selling them by the jar out of their vehicles, with several videos showing purchases taking place on street corners like covert drug deals.

One of these videos is more popular than the rest, and it’s all because of two phrases spoken by a customer during his review of the new food fad.

Who is the boy behind viral ‘dat bih gah’ video?

On May 29, 2026, a young man named Bubba Harrelson was recorded trying a jar of Kool-Aid infused pineapple spears.

“Dat bih tough,” he remarked after taking a sip of the Kool-Aid, following it up with, “Dat bih gah,” after chomping on one of the pineapple slices.

His reaction to the culinary combo instantly went viral, with the original video racking up over 30 million views in just three days.

On June 1, a content creator named ‘Lil Tyke’ linked up with Harrelson for a short interview, where he reacted to his newfound status as a social media star.

“It’s good,” he answered when asked about the situation. “Gotta whole bunch of fame, a whole bunch of people liking my sh*t.”

Harrelson also confirmed that this is how he really speaks, saying it’s ‘just how he grew up’ living in Florida.

Harrelson’s fame is growing the viral pineapple Kool-Aid trend even more. While it’s seriously popular right now, some users are balking at the extreme sugar content in the mixture, which adds up to around 320 to 350 grams of total sugar, which is about the same as nine 12-ounce cans of Coca-Cola.
