BREAKING: 2-time WWE champion suddenly moved to the alumni section after RAW

A veteran WWE star has been quietly moved to the alumni section following this week’s RAW, leaving his status with the global juggernaut up in the air. It has come to light that Titus O’Neil, who hasn’t wrestled in years, is no longer on the roster.

O’Neil has been a part of WWE for close to two decades now, having first joined the company in 2009. While he had his share of success as a wrestler, becoming a one-time Tag Team Champion alongside Darren Young and the inaugural 24/7 Champion, he has transitioned into an ambassador role in recent years.

The 49-year-old star hasn’t wrestled in as many as six years, with his last in-ring outing going down in November 2020, when he faced Bobby Lashley on RAW. A few minutes ago, O’Neil was moved to the alumni section on WWE’s website.

There’s no clarity on whether this meant he was gone from the global juggernaut altogether. It could also possibly mean that Titus O’Neil had chosen to quietly retire and thus was moved away from the roster page.

O’Neil isn’t the only one whose status has been changed. Bobby Roode, who works as a backstage producer for WWE right now, was also added to the alumni section. His status, too, like O’Neil’s, remains unclear as of writing.

Last year, in a chat with TMZ, O’Neil revealed that he was healthy and ready to step inside the ring if the company wanted him to lace up his boots. However, he then confessed that he was more than happy being away from the action and working for the company as an on-camera personality.

“It’s definitely a possibility now yeah. But then again, it’s all based on the scenario and the situation… whether the company wants me to do it, or it’s definitely going to have to be the right scenario for it to happen. But I’ll be honest with you, I’m happy with being in front of cameras and not having to take bumps,” he said.

O’Neil has never formally retired from the business, and only time will tell what the future holds for him.
