Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Arriving Fall 2026 On Netflix

Netflix just announced at Anime Expo 2026 that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will return in the Fall, later this year. If you haven’t seen the show before, here’s your warning in big bold text: click away. We’re delving into spoilers.

At the end of the first season, almost everyone—David included—flatlined, which means that Edgerunners 2 is introducing a wholly new crew. Netflix and CD Projekt Red have spent the last four days trickling out individual character teasers, and the final post (embedded below) serves as our first official look at the squad altogether:

The Full Crew Assembled

Weak ‘King’ Kingsley, a veteran Edgerunner who “now lives in the shadow of his former glory,” can be seen towering over the gang at the back. To the left, sitting on a crate, is D, a Snack Nation Netrunner hunting the killer who wiped out his clan. The pink-haired woman on the right is Talia Yang; she hails from the corpo towers, “but her heart belongs to chrome and violence.” And lastly, right at the front—holding the camera—is Roman Carax, “a young cinephile in search of real stories in a city that abandoned cinema for braindances.”

Kai Ikarashi, who worked in the art department on the first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners—and whose previous credits include Mob Psycho 100, Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time, and Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade—is taking over as director from Hiroyuki Imaishi, while studio TRIGGER will continue to produce the show.

“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 presents a new standalone 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077—a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge,” the description reads. “In a city that thrives in the spotlight of violence, one question remains: when the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes do you have to go to make your story matter?”
