Having been as high as 10th in the world, Emma Raducanu is now placed 107th, her lowest WTA ranking in two years.
Raducanu’s last appearance on the tour came at the Queen’s Club Championships in the summer, where she made the final before falling to Donna Vekic. The 23-year-old Briton then withdrew from Wimbledon on the eve of the tournament due to a stress fracture in her right lower leg, which has kept her sidelined ever since.

Dan Evans makes bold prediction about Emma Raducanu
Raducanu has still yet to win a WTA title since her incredible triumph at the 2021 US Open, where she became the first qualifier ever to win a major. She also became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam singles title since Virginia Wade in 1977.
Amid injury struggles and several coaching changes, Raducanu has not made it past the fourth round of a major tournament since then. But former British star Dan Evans believes she is still capable of adding to her Grand Slam tally.
“I genuinely think she will win Wimbledon one day,” stated Evans in an interview with The Telegraph. “Yeah, I don’t know why. She’s good, and I think – I’m saying this in as nice a way as possible – I think she thinks she’s good.
Who is the best women’s player in the world right now?
Pick one if you can…
“Not in an arrogant way, but when she plays big matches, she’s like ‘Whatever. This is just another match.’ And yeah, I just think one day she’ll get it. The crowd can play such a big part in tennis, and you have to keep yourself together on Centre Court, because it’s a daunting place to go and play. But she looks like she loves it out there.”
Raducanu’s best Grand Slam result since the 2021 US Open was a fourth-round finish at Wimbledon in 2024, where she knocked out ninth seed Maria Sakkari before losing to qualifier Lulu Sun. “There’s no doubt she needs to have a racket in her hand a bit more,” continued Evans.
“I’m sure she’s getting pushed side-to-side by endorsements, and there’s a bit of tug-of-war on what she needs to do, what she doesn’t. I admit I’ve not watched her practices very often, but from what I’m told, she’s a good trainer: she works for two, three hours in a row with hardly any break.”

Emma Raducanu’s results with Andrew Richardson since rehiring him
In May, Raducanu rehired Andrew Richardson, who guided her to the 2021 US Open title. Raducanu’s first campaign with Richardson back in her corner was an opening-round exit in Strasbourg.
Raducanu then suffered another first-round defeat at the French Open, losing to Solana Sierra 6-0, 7-6. But Raducanu bounced back during the grass swing by putting together a remarkable run at Queen’s.
On the grass courts of London, Raducanu didn’t drop a set en route to the championship match, and beat sixth seed Iva Jovic convincingly, 6-2, 6-2. Raducanu was bagelled by Vekic in the opening set of the final, but forced the Croat to a tiebreak in the second. Vekic ultimately clinched the shootout to win the match and secure the title.
