Pillsbury bread rolls distributed across 19 states have been recalled after the US Food and Drug Administration classified the products as potentially containing foreign material.
According to the FDA, the recall affects 735,840 packages of Pillsbury bread roll dough that were pulled on June 19 due to the possible presence of glass.
The agency later classified the recall as a Class II event, meaning exposure to the affected products could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, while the likelihood of serious injury is considered remote.

According to The Healthy, the affected products appear to have been intended for foodservice customers rather than retail grocery stores, so the odds of it being in your house may be slim.

The FDA said the recalled products were distributed in Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.
The agency classified the recall as Class II, which it defines as “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
The Pillsbury recall is the latest in a series of high-profile food safety alerts overseen by the FDA. Last year, more than 50 million pounds of Jimmy Dean and State Fair frozen breakfast products were recalled after officials warned they could contain pieces of wood, with multiple injuries reported.
The agency has also handled other large recalls in recent months, including one affecting nearly 2,000 consumer products after inspectors found evidence of rodent and bird contamination at a distribution facility. That recall impacted a wide range of products, including food, beverages, pet supplies, and over-the-counter medications.
