Final Fantasy 7 is a pretty massive and influential game, having inspired millions across the globe ever since its creation back in the nineties, and there are some pretty influential people that count the game as their first true love of the medium. Renowned actor Robert Pattinson is one of those people, and has gushed about the original game in several interviews.
He’s one of the most famous Final Fantasy 7 fans out there, but he’s not really up to date on modern gaming, which is what has made his reaction to finding out Final Fantasy 7 is now a trilogy all the more amazing.
Nobody Told Robert Pattinson About FF7 Remake
This reaction was captured by IGN, who asked Pattinson whether he’s excited to try the FF7 Remake trilogy and whether he’ll have time for it. His response was very much “what the heck are you talking about?”
“It’s a trilogy of Final Fantasy?,” says Pattinson, very bemused. “So it’s Final Fantasy 7 one, two, three? Interesting. I guess it was a 3-disc game when I played it. Yeah, I’d love to.”
It’s a goofy reaction, and one that is quite surprising and drives home just how disconnected Pattinson is from the industry considering we’re approaching the release of the third game. However, if there’s anyway you’re actually reading this, Robert, please just stick with the original. We don’t need another poor soul tainted by the remake.
