Jannik Sinner, the World No 1 and top seed, has been knocked out in a shock result on Day 5 at the 2026 French Open.
A clearly struggling Sinner faded in searing heat and lost against Juan Manuel Cerúndolo, 3-6, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1, 6-1.
Rising star Moïse Kouame, 17, Naomi Osaka (16) and Frances Tiafoe (19) were victorious earlier today.
Women’s singles top seed Aryna Sabalenka is also through, with American hopeful Ben Shelton currently on court.
