Round 5: Nevermind, that “knockdown” in Round 4 has also been wiped off the board. Magsayo keeps ducking his head into Cortes’ body, which is why he keeps losing his balance in close. Otherwise, Magsayo is landing, but now it’s Cortes with the volume advantage. He’s throwing big and landing enough to slow Magsayo. Give it to Magsayo, he’s not backing down, but he’s yet to find his rhythm.

He’s able to clinch up and gather his senses. Another Vanhouter right lands and Akpejiori goes to a knee. He’s in no hurry to get up, the count gets to 9 and the fight continues. Vanhouter just walking Akpejiori down and throwing heavy leather. Referee keeping a close eye on the action, might have to step in. Whoa, not sure what happened there, but Vanhouter suddenly crumbles against the ropes. There’s a pause in the action and it looks like maybe he hurt his shoulder? Whatever it was, he shakes it off, and the fight resumes and WHAM it’s Vanhouter with a big punch to put Akpejiori on his back. The referee has seen enough and that’s that.
