Joselyne Edwards will weigh in as the backup fighter for a bantamweight championship clash between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes at UFC 334 on Nov. 12, multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed to MMA Fighting.
UFC 334 will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York, and Harrison vs. Nunes serves as the co-headliner the numbered event on Paramount+.
The highly anticipated 135-pound title bout was originally scheduled for the first UFC card of the year back in January, but postponed 10 months after Harrison was forced to undergo surgery for a neck injury.
Nunes, a former two division UFC queen who un-retired to face off with her ex-teammate, opted to sit out and wait for Harrison’s recovery instead of taking on a different opponent for an interim title.
Edwards secured the chance after winning five in a row in the UFC since late 2024, finishing four opponents — two in the first round — before earning a decision victory over Norma Dumont.
UFC 334 will he topped by Ciryl Gane vs. Josh Hokit for the undisputed heavyweight belt.
