Karolina Muchova lost to Linda Noskova in the Wimbledon final, 2-6, 7-5, 3-6.

The 29-year-old had hoped to bounce back from the defeat in Toronto, but will have to wait a few more weeks before she can return to action.

How many Grand Slam titles will Linda Noskova win in her career?

She’s the 2026 Wimbledon champion!

Muchova took to Instagram to share a fitness update after withdrawing from the Canadian Open.

She also shared a separate message on her Instagram story, speaking to her Canadian fans.

“Sad to be missing Toronto this year,” said Muchova.

“I was really looking forward to making my debut there, but recovery comes first.

“Wishing everyone a great tournament, and I can’t wait to finally see you all in Toronto one day!”

Should we be concerned about Karolina Muchova’s latest injury setback?

Many fans argue that Muchova would have accomplished much more in her career if not for injury.

And her performances this year, where she has been fit throughout, prove that.

Muchova sits fourth in the Live WTA Race, won her first WTA 1000 title this year, and qualified for the Wimbledon final.

Playing arguably the best tennis of her career, any injury setback is cause for concern.

But, while she didn’t disclose the details of her injury, Muchova did describe the surgery as ‘small’, which is a positive sign.

And her timeline for return would certainly indicate the problem isn’t too severe, as she only plans to miss ‘a few weeks’ of action.

That could see her back in time for the Cincinnati Open, where she reached the final in 2023.

This year’s Cincinnati Open begins on Thursday, August 13, 26 days from now.
