Lee Selby has another unbeaten opponent to deal with, and this one has finished everyone he has faced in bare knuckle. The former IBF featherweight champion meets Ollie “The Death” Sentance in the super lightweight main event at BKB 61, with the promotion’s latest announcement filling out the November 14 card at indigo at The O2 in London.
The October 22 lineup features 10 announced fights, split between six main-card bouts and four TikTok exclusives. Selby’s return tops the bill, while Marko Martinjak puts his BKB bridgerweight world championship on the line against former British cruiserweight champion Matty Askin.
BKB 61
“Lightning” Lee Selby enters with a 1-0 bare-knuckle record and one knockout. His debut was no quiet introduction: Antonio Rizzo put him under pressure early at BKB 55 in Cardiff on June 27 before Selby responded with knockdowns and a second-round knockout. Sentance arrives at 2-0 with two stoppages, having beaten Nico Earwaker and Corey Healey. The Healey victory also came at BKB 55, where Sentance secured a second-round TKO. B
oth headliners therefore left that Cardiff event with wins, and now one must risk his unbeaten record against the other. The championship stakes sit one fight below them. Croatia’s “Marvelous” Martinjak brings a 13-2 record, with all 13 wins coming by knockout. Matty “The Assassin” Askin is 1-0 with one knockout in bare knuckle, giving the challenger a sizeable experience gap to overcome in this format despite his championship background in gloved boxing.
Aaron “The Baron” McCallum and Simey “The Smoke from Stoke” Doherty have unfinished business at welterweight. Their July meeting at BKB 57 ended in a split draw. McCallum returns at 9-6-1 with seven knockouts; Doherty stands at 10-2-1 with three. This time, both will be looking to leave without sharing the result. Another welterweight matchup pairs unbeaten Ashley “Bash” Devenport, 3-0 with one knockout, against Kallum Skhane, 2-3 with two knockouts.
The latest announcement also adds Dan Gittens against Dan Cawse at welterweight and Luke Smudger Smith against Paul O’Sullivan at super welterweight. The four TikTok-exclusive bouts are Carl Hobley against Claas Lilie at bridgerweight, Ashley Lloyd against Marcus Pond at cruiserweight, Kornelijus Sabaliauskas against Luke Fleming at cruiserweight, and Hatice Ozyurt against Jackie Cataline at lightweight.
