The team list for the open qualifier for the Esports World Cup’s Counter-Strike tournament is now locked in after the registration period ended. Sixty-four teams have signed up for the three-day LAN qualifier, where four spots at the $2 million competition will be on the line.
The reputation the Esports World Cup has built internationally, combined with the prize amounts on offer in the Counter-Strike tournament and the Club Championship, has made this event one of the season’s headliners, with all 28 eligible teams per the VRS ranking having accepted invitations.

Liquid, BC.Game, HEROIC, 100 Thieves, NRG and DENDELE will be among the teams vying for spots in the main event via the cut-throat qualifier, which will begin with 16 double-elimination, best-of-one groups of four teams.
The top two teams from each group will then progress to the single-elimination playoffs, in which every match will feature a best-of-three format.
